Dr. Stacy Shepard is a powerhouse when it comes to motivating women and pushing them into their next. Starting from humble beginnings in Goldsboro, NC, to earning her Ph.D. and becoming a key figure in North Carolina's largest city, her journey has been one of growth, resilience, and empowerment. As an mother, daughter, sister, certified life coach, author, leader, breast cancer survivor, and friend, Dr. Shepard is well versed in how to inspire you to be your best self regardless of what challenges you may face.
Dr. Shepard has a strong belief that women can accomplish ALL of their God given talents as long as they are willing to work, have faith, and allow no one or anything to stand in their way. Dr. Shepard follows two mottos: "Excellence Without Excuse" and God is within her, she will not fail."

Dr. Shepard's Story
Dr. Shepard, originally from Goldsboro, NC, holds a BA in English from North Carolina Central University. Commencing her teaching journey in 2007, she excelled as a 6-8 grade Language Arts teacher in Wayne County schools, earning the prestigious Beginning Teacher of the Year award in 2008. Transitioning from the classroom, Dr. Shepard served as a district coach with Wayne County Public Schools, providing crucial support to novice teachers in their initial three years.
In 2014, Dr. Shepard accomplished her PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University. Throughout her career, she has assumed diverse roles, including district coach, academic facilitator, testing coordinator, and dean of students with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2019, she took on the role of assistant principal at KIPP North Carolina, where she strived to build partnerships with families, preparing scholars for college, careers, and a future filled with choices. After a successful two years as Assistant Principal, Dr. Shepard was named Principal and is still serving in the seat. In 2024, Dr. Shepard led her school to being ranked in the top 10% of the state for student growth.
Beyond her responsibilities as Principal in North Carolina, Dr. Shepard is a noted author, public speaker and breast cancer survivor. It is through her journey with breast cancer that AriseNOW was born. During that time Dr. Shepard continued working and empowering women, her staff and students to keep believing and achieving no matter the circumstances. She made it clear to everyone she spoke with that nothing stops purpose and although not ideal, God causes ALL things to work together for our good. As a survivor, Dr. Shepard recognized even the more the impact she has on people when she shares her story, and how she overcame every obstacle.
Recognizing the impact of storytelling, she empowers young adults and women to realize their full potential by sharing personal childhood stories. Through her writing, Dr. Shepard narrates a tale of struggle, triumph, and new beginnings, encouraging others to see their own beauty in their shattered glass.
